Don McLeod is an avid observer of nature with a particular interest in wildlife, tracking and photography. The photos and stories found in "Don McLeod's Nature Blog" focus on nature in the City of Kawartha Lakes, County of Peterborough and County of Northumberland, southern Ontario, Canada.
Don worked for 25 years at Fleming College. During that time he was a Professor in various programs and courses with a focus on Fish & Wildlife. From 2004 until 2012, he developed and taught the course "Wildlife Observation Skills".
Since retiring in 2012, Don has spent time on developing his website. He also joined several nature groups: Kawartha Field Naturalists, Peterborough Field Naturalists, Willow Beach Field Naturalists and Ontario Field Ornithologists. He remains a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and during the summer likes to go fishing for panfish.
