Belted Kingfisher resting on concrete porch after flying into house window. This female looked in very poor condition after the impact but we left her alone and after a few minutes she improved - shortly after I took this photo, the Kingfisher flew away. As she flew away the male called out to her, having patiently waited by the creek. Very unusual to have a Kingfisher fly near our house let alone fly into our window.
