Eastern Cottontail & Coyote - tracks and trails. This scene shows the convergence of trails for an Eastern Cottontail (left) and Coyote (right) during a high speed chase. While the Eastern Cottontail ran from the Coyote it acheived strides of 8' between track sets.

Eastern Cottontail - trail and tracks, looks a bit like eastern Gray Squirrel but does not lead to and from trees, also, there was tell-tale scat in the middle of trail - see next photo.

Eastern Cottontail - tracks in mud with track set length = 11". Not all of the feet register as tracks but there is one front track just above the 1" mark on the tape and the hind feet show up above the 9" to 11" part of the tape.
