20160628B Birds & Nests
The photographs in this gallery were taken in two locations, the first being near Port Hope and the second near Little Britain. The Port Hope location featured Savannah Sparrow nest, Eastern Phoebe nest and House Wren. The second location was a highway bridge with several nests located on the underneath. The first two nests were not obviously active but appear to be built by Cliff Swallows. The uncertainty is due to the unusual shape: the bottom part looks like an older Barn Swallow nest with the top added on by Cliff Swallows. Otherwise there were several active nests for Barn Swallow and Rock Pigeon.
