I experienced one of those happy moments in saving a turtle instead of finding it dead on the road. The Blanding's Turtle seen in these photos was inches from the edge of a paved county highway with cars passing by at 80+ km/hr. I was able to safely stop and move the turtle to a wetland where it safely continued its journey.
