20180310 PFN Tracking
Members from the Peterborough Field Naturalists (PFN) went tracking on the John de Pencier trail at the Trent University Nature Area with outings on March 10 & 11. Species identified by tracks or sign included Red Squirrel, Snowshoe Hare, Porcupine, Raccoon, Fisher, Ruffed Grouse, Eastern Gray Squirrel, Long-tailed Weasel, Coyote, Eastern Chipmunk, Striped Skunk and possible Mouse sp. Bird species identified by sound included: American Crow, Black-capped Chickadee, Northern Cardinal, American Goldfinch, Northern Flicker, White-breasted Nuthatch and American Robin.
