20180624 Common Loon On Nest
A mated pair of Common Loons returned to Lancaster Bay for the 2018 breeding season. They took over a nest recently built and used by Canada Geese. By the time of this photograph the Loon nest had been occupied for about three weeks. This nesting period is later than last year's when a chick was observed on June 10th.
