The nesting Common Loon observed on May 22 was still on the nest June 4th with attending mate also observed nearby. Farther out in the lake on a separate island, a 2nd nesting Common Loon was discovered. Both of these nesting Loons will be monitored through Bird Canada's Canadian Lakes Loon Survey.
