20200912 PFN Presqu'ile
Eighteen members of the Peterborough Field Naturalists (PFN) gathered at Parking Lot 1 of Presqu'ile Provincial Park for a day of birding and other nature observations. Semipalmated Plovers, Sanderlings, Least Sandpipers and
Semipalmated Sandpipers were the first highlight. A detour through the swale back from the beach found plenty of flowers and butterflies. Monarchs were present in great numbers.Cathy Douglas kept an eBird list with a tally of 44 species. Many thanks to Martin and Kathy Parker for leading this first outing of the fall.
